Working with Ashley House and Odyssey Healthcare, Fleet undertook a feasibility study of the relocation of the existing Crawley Hospital facility to a site nearby. The study demonstrated the possibility to recoup land costs while providing a new facility meeting contemporary standards. The study illustrated the potential to develop a scheme with a co-located data centre and shared heat recovery, heat store and combined heat and power electricity generation plant.

Likely impediments such as travel and Town and County Planning were investigated alongside the need to provide a modern welcoming and accessible facility in a site currently designated for industrial use.

The feasibility study for the new community hospital was undertaken in parallel as a study of the mixed use redevelopment of the existing Crawley Hospital site.
