The full width dormer extension to a post-war end-of-terrace property was approved under permitted development. The roof extension creates a new master bedroom with generous picture window and an additional bathroom.

Working with a tight budget necessitated creative specification of affordable materials. The corrugated external cladding more commonly associated with agricultural buildings holds an affinity with the existing curved clay tiles of the neighbouring properties.

Fair faced timber joinery and linings set against the original 1950’s colours and fittings to create a distinct yet harmonious palette of materials that reinforces the old whilst emphasising the new.
